Meet The Team
Scott Englund, Co-Founder
Scott co-founded New York Hospitality in 2012 and has over 20 years of experience working in various executive accounting and finance roles with Marriott and Ritz-Carlton, Morgan's Hotel Group and Ian Schrager Company, Thompson Hotels, King and Grove and Chelsea Hotels, and the Sydell Group. Scott has held titles from assistant controller to chief financial officer both at the property and at management company level. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida State University and is CPA eligible.
Thao Hoang, Co-Founder
Thao co-founded New York Hospitality in 2012 and has since worked with various ownership groups, hotel management companies, and lenders on a wide range of projects including purchase and sale transactions, hotel openings, financial reporting, and system migrations. Previously, Thao worked at Thompson Hotels and helped the company during its merger with Joie de Vivre Hospitality to form Commune Hotels. Other experience includes working as a financial analyst at New Regency Productions in Los Angeles and Barclays Capital in London. Thao holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from UCLA.
